🇬🇷 I may not show it, but I was SO happy to 🇬🇷 I may not show it, but I was SO happy to arrive in #Mykonos. Not because it was always my dream to visit the island but because I couldn't wait to get off the ferry ride from hell. Due to some huge waves, what was supposed to be a smooth one hour ferry ride turned out to be a horrible experience. And I had forgotten to take my motion sickness pills that day. 🤢 But we arrived (eventually) and got to explore the incredibly beautiful Mykonos Chora (where we couldn't eat anything for several hours 😂)
🇷🇴 The Enisala Fortress was built sometime i 🇷🇴 The Enisala Fortress was built sometime in the 14th century for military reasons, overseeing any movement on both sea and land. Nowadays it makes for a nice stop before visiting the Danube Delta and offers lovely views from the top. #VisitRomania
🇬🇷We were wandering on the maze like streets 🇬🇷We were wandering on the maze like streets of the old town of #Mykonos when I suddenly stopped. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing? Is it....real?". In front of us there was a random pelican just going about his day, walking and cleaning his feathers. Needless to say we followed it in awe for a bit, as he was unbothered by our presence. We left and when we came back he was sitting down and had an audience of equally confused and surprised people and I overheard someone saying "No, it's definitely real, I saw him move his head!" 😂

Nowadays there are three pelicans living in Mykonos, but the OG was Petros, who arrived injured in Mykonos in 1985 and a fisherman nursed him back to life. One day Petros flew to a nearby island and the people there decided to keep him, so Mykonos filed a lawsuit to get him back. 😂
